Apartments out the back are 5 star and exceptional! Rooms in hotel are all communal bathroms and showers so not as good. Can also be a little noisy from the pub downstairs. Overall the Duke Inn has great food and a good atmosphere would definetly recommend!
Hidden gem! Highly recommend for the traveller passing through for lunch. Well worth a look. Cold beer with a fantastic menu. Renovated with plenty of indoor, outdoor eating/drinking zones. Kid friendly
We had dinner here. I ordered the 300 gram scotch fillet surf and turf medium rare. Absolutely perfectly cooked throughout the whole steak, the prawns were excellent and the garlic sauce and ju were fantastic. The potato gratin was excellent too. Will certainly have to eat here again.
Good service, quality food, interesting menu and decor. Highly recommend for something a bit special. Not the cheapest but worth it
Well... well.... well.... what a fantastic venue for an after work drink and meal, as well as a home away from home for those of us working or travelling through the area. Friendly staff in a well presented and preserved historic venue. This wallet friendly Inn offers a high quality service at every level.A visit here is a must, to absorb and appreciate a taste of traditional service lost to most. Rated... 10/10
